I am not an avid Poetry prompt writer. But being not yet sleepy, I checked out the PAD challenge for today April the 26th. Only 4 more days of Poetry Month left.
Today's prompt "more than five times":
More than five times around
this block would be a mile.
Six times footing the mall's
indoor walking path.
Eight times the oval at the Civic Center.
Four times prancing in front
of the bleachers at the football field.
Time to walk, jog, hop, dance into shape.
Do it more than five times a week.
Skip, jump, run, cycle
hitting your stide mile after mile.
And it won't hurt a bit
if you quirk a smile
when someone you may know
whistles at your departing behind.
