Seeing in the Dark

This little nugget was written on Labor Day a few years back: I was weeding some noxious plants in the garden and got the juice of "nightshade" squirted into my eye. There was an immediate reaction. I flushed the eye with much water and put in an emergency call to an opthmalogist. And in answer to prayer, he saw me shortly after. With antiinflammatory drops the eye cleared up and vision was restored.

With my blind eye
I see the glories of heaven
denied my by my natural sight.
It takes the not seeing of this world
to peer into the next.

9/3/03 Darlene Moore Berg

In the same vein is this older devotional "poem" that found a home in Silver Wings.

In blindness
in darkness complete
Call out
There is One
who hears your cry
He conquers
your dark
with His Light
He restores
Sight
He gives Hope
to despair
He gives Faith
to doubt
He is Life

Blessings on your day. May you See and Know the Glory of the Lord.
