Poem for Tea

This is the poem shared at our Asian inspired Tea in August.

Cup of Grace

The wallhanging is a study in black, red, white.

Strips of fabric interwoven.

Some pure black on black

Others white with black printed vines, scrolls.
Here is one with a black background and the tip of the Eiffel tower:

The world a dark, fearsome place, shadowed.

But in the center of each block: a crimson cup

nestled in a field of white on white blossoms.

The Chalice, the blood, the Life of Christ

poured and offered.

Placed in the center of our lives, we bloom

the white flowers in His Grace.
