The Tail Tells All

Cat tails
do not wave
fast and canine friendly

They snake
back and forth
in vexation.

They swagger
in self-satisfaction
after a successful
predatory strike.

They hypnotize,
they undulate
in curiosity,
They arch in disdain.

But never, ever wag
in friendship
or delight.

The photo is of our cat Mittens taking in the view from our new bedroom sitting area window. A great place to watch the birds and the woods.
